1. What is Jan Aadhaar Card?

The Jan Aadhaar Card is a unique initiative by the Government of Rajasthan to provide a single digital identity to every family in the state. Launched to replace the old Bhamashah Card, it serves as the primary document for proof of identity and address for accessing state benefits.

Unlike the national Aadhaar card which identifies an individual, the Jan Aadhaar identifies a “Family Unit”. It empowers women by recognizing the eldest female member (18+ years) as the Head of the Family (HOF).

The 10-Digit Family ID

Every card has a unique 10-digit Family Identification Number. This single number maps the data of all family members, ensuring that you don’t need to carry separate documents for Ration, Pension, or Insurance.

2. Benefits & Linked Schemes

Jan Aadhaar is the key to unlocking over 100 government welfare schemes. Without this card, residents cannot avail the following:

Scheme Name Benefit Details
Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Cashless medical treatment up to ₹25 Lakhs in private & govt hospitals.
Ration (NFSA) Wheat and other food supplies are distributed via biometric auth of Jan Aadhaar.
Social Security Pension Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) of monthly pension for widows, elderly, and disabled.
Scholarships Required for Post-Matric and Samaj Kalyan scholarships for students.

3. Eligibility Criteria
