Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I have accounts in 3 banks. Which one will get the money?
DBT follows the “Last In” rule. The bank account which you linked most recently will receive the money. The status page shows the name of this bank.
Q: My bank says Aadhaar is linked (KYC), but status shows Inactive.
Linking for KYC and Linking for DBT are different. Your Aadhaar might be in the bank records for ID proof, but not pushed to the NPCI Mapper. You must request “DBT Mapping” specifically.
Q: How long does it take to update the status?
Once the bank processes your request, it takes 2-3 working days to update on the NPCI server and reflect on the myAadhaar portal.
